On Sunday at Belmont Park, a field of eight two-year-olds will take to the turf in the 2nd edition of the $100,000 Awad Stakes. The one mile contest will be run on the Widener Turf Course and has two additional horses entered for the main track only.

The $200,000 Mohawk Stakes October 18 at Belmont Park features a rematch of two excellent grass horses and the rest of the field isn’t too shabby either as a field of ten is set to contest the mile and a sixteenth race on the grass.
