On Saturday at Gulfstream Park, the track will host the 29th running of the Hal’s Hope Stakes. The Grade 3 race offers a purse of $150,000 and has attracted a field of six colts and geldings to compete at the distance of one mile. 
The $75,000 Paseana Stakes is the featured race January 11 at Santa Anita as a field of eight fillies and mares are set to contest the mile and one sixteenth event on the main track in an interesting betting race. 
The $100,000 Grade 3 Old Hat is the first of five stakes races on the card at Gulfstream Park January 3, as a field of eight three year-old fillies are set to contest the six furlong event on the main track. 
On Saturday at Aqueduct, the featured race is the 145th running of the $200,000 Jerome Stakes. Restricted to three-year-olds, the mile and a seventy yard contest offers Grade 3 status and points towards the Kentucky Derby. 
The 42nd running of the La Brea Stakes is the first of three graded events races making up the late pick four in opening day action December 26 at Santa Anita. 
On Friday, the featured race at Aqueduct is the 56th edition of the $100,000 Gravesend Handicap. Scheduled to be run at six-furlongs on the inner dirt track, the race has drawn a field of five. 
On Saturday at Fair Grounds, two-year-old fillies will take center stage in the $50,000 Letellier Memorial Stakes. The six-furlong contest has drawn a field of six juveniles.
On Saturday at Los Alamitos Race Course, the track will host the 34th running of the $350,000 Starlet Stakes. Held at a mile and a sixteenth for two-year-old fillies, the Grade 1 race had previously been run at Hollywood Park. 
The $200,000 Soviet Problem Stakes for two year-old fillies is the featured eighth race at Los Alamitos Race Course December 7 as a competitive field of six is set to go a mile on the dirt.
