Competitive Field of Eleven Set for $100,000 Florida Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf

Waterway Run has been tabbed as the morning line favorite at odds of 2-1 for trainer Chad Brown. Bred in Pennsylvania, the five-year-old daughter of Arch began her career in Great Britain. She has won four of her fourteen career starts and made her stateside debut in February of 2014. She was last seen finishing seventh and last as the favorite in the Mrs. Penny Stakes at Parx. Javier Castellano will be aboard from post position six.’

Dame Dorothy has two separate options 

Second choice at 9-2 on the morning line is Dame Dorothy for trainer Todd Pletcher. A four-year-old daughter of Bernardini owned by celebrity chef Bobby Flay, the bay filly is also cross-entered in the Florida Sunshine Millions Distaff. She has won over conventional dirt and synthetics and would be trying turf for the first time. Luis Saez is named to ride and they are scheduled to break from the outside post.

Speed Seeker going for fourth career win

Also in the field at morning line odds of 5-1 is Speed Seeker for trainer Joan Scott. A four-year-old daughter of Heatseaker, she has won three of her six starts and has a Grade 3 victory to her credit. She was last seen winning an optional claiming race at Tampa Bay Downs and has had a bullet workout since her last race. Luis Contreras, aboard for two of her three wins, will be back aboard and they will break from post position three.
