On Saturday at Keeneland, the top sprinters in the country will face off in the $1.5 million Breeders’ Cup Sprint. The Grade 1 is a six furlong contest and has drawn a competitive and full field of fourteen. 
On Saturday at Belmont Park, the featured race on New York Showcase Day is the $300,000 Empire Classic. Restricted to horses bred in New York, the race will be contested at a mile and an eighth and has drawn a field of nine colts and geldings. 
On Saturday at Hawthorne Park, the featured race is the $150,000 Hawthorne Derby. Restricted to three-year-olds, the Grade 3 event will be contested will be run at a mile and an eighth on the turf and has drawn a full field of twelve. 
The $200,000 Grade 3 Knickerbocker Stakes is the featured event October 10 at Belmont Park as a competitive field of 11 older turf males will contest the mile and an eighth race on the turf. 
On Sunday at Keeneland, the featured race is the $500,000 Juddmonte Spinster Stakes. A Grade 1 event and an automatic qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), the race will be contested at a mile and an eighth on the main track. 
On Saturday, the stakes action at Belmont Park will continue with the $200,000 Pilgrim Stakes. Scheduled at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf, the Grade 3 race has attracted a field of ten two-year-old colts and geldings. 
The Grade 2, $300,000 Iroquois Stakes September 12 at Churchill Downs features an ultra-competitive field of twelve juvenile runners set to contest the 1 1/16 mile event on the main track. 
On Sunday at Belmont Park, the featured race is the $100,000 Allied Forces Stakes. Restricted to three-year-olds, the race will be contested at six furlongs on the turf and has drawn a field of nine.
