Judy the Beauty Returns to Action in $300,000 Humana Distaff
Judy the Beauty has been tabbed as the morning line favorite at odds of 8-5 for trainer Wesley Ward. A six-year-old daughter of Ghostzapper, she has won nine of her eighteen career starts and will be making her first start since winning the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) in November. She has been training steadily for her return to the races and was fourth in this race last year. Mike Smith will remain aboard and they will break from post position eight.
Dame Dorothy cutting back to a sprint
Second choice at 9-2 on the morning line is Dame Dorothy for trainer Todd Pletcher. Owned by celebrity chef Bobby Flay who purchased the four-year-old daughter of Bernardini for $390,000 as a yearling, she has won five of her seven career starts. She was second in the Santa Margarita (G1) last time out and will be cutting back in distance. Javier Castellano will be in the irons and they will break from post three.
Moonlit Stroll making a big step up in class
Also in the field at morning line odds of 20-1 is longshot Moonlit Stroll for trainer Grant Forster. A four-year-old daughter of Stroll, she has been on the board in all four starts and will be making her stakes debut after a runner-up finish on the turf against allowance company at Fair Grounds in March. She broke her maiden over the Churchill Downs main track and will break from post six under jockey Brian Hernandez, Jr.
